T-Works MP11 1-Piece Engine Mount Plate

T-Works has released more new option parts for the Kyosho MP11 adding this 1-Piece Engine Mount Plate as well as a B Mount and C Mount for the new 1:8 Buggy platform. Made in 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, with a gold-black surface treatment and exquisite reverse edges, the 1-Piece Engine Mount Plate’s integrated structure can enhance the rigidity of the base plate and improve operational stability. The included fixing screws make installation even easier. Both made of 7075-T6 aluminium alloy and finished with chamfered edges, the B and C Mounts are a direct replacement for original kit mounts enhancing both appearance texture and structural stability.

Ronnefalk doubles at Hongyu GDC opening Offroad race

The Offroad track at the impressive new Hongyu GDC multi track facility in Foshan, China, hosted its opening race over the weekend where Xray’s David Ronnefalk completed the double winning both 1:8 Nitro and 1:8 Electric Buggy. The first race on the roof covered dirt track, the layout the work of Spanish track builder Miguelo Izquierdo Rodriguez, it would attract a number of international entries with Ronnefalk the benchmark in qualifying. In Nitro, the Swede took 3 of the 4 rounds to secure the TQ ahead of the Infinity of Asian Buggy Championships Champion Kouki Kato, the Japanese driver fastest in the opening qualifier. Finland’s Pekko Iivonen would secure third with his Mayako ahead of the Team Associated of Korea’s Jung Hyunkyu with Infinity’s Bruno Coelho rounding out the Top 5. With 2016 World Champion Ronnefalk locked-in for pole in Main final, a Semi win for Coelho lined him up P2 while winning the other Semi Kato started P3 ahead of Hyunkyu. Leading from start to finish over the 45-minutes, Ronnefalk would win by over a lap from Coelho while finishing on the same lap as the Portuguese driver Hyunkyu took the final podium step ahead of Iivonen. Problems for Kato saw him retire and classified P9. Setting the fastest times in all 4 rounds of eBuggy qualifying, Ronnefalk was the Top Qualifier ahead of Iivonen and Kato. He would go on to secure the overall win after taking the first two 5-minute encounters. Winning A3, Kato took second overall ahead of Coelho.

R1 Wurks CAT PB Top Decks

Continuing with its role out of option parts for the new the Schumacher CAT PB, R1 Wurks has released new front and rear top decks for the 1:10 4WD Buggy. The precision CNC-machined deck is available in Carbon Fibre or Fibreglass, for added chassis flex, offering a highly effective way to fine-tune handling and maximise on-track performance. Increased flex can improve traction in low-grip conditions while giving the car a more planted, stable, and predictable feel.

JConcepts 3DP 1:10 Offroad Carpet tyre

In another new tyre release from JConcepts, the US brand introduces the 1:10 3DP tyre designed and developed for carpet offroad racing. The 3DP is capable of high-performance with advanced wear characteristics, with its longer life span on the carpet created by adding pins and surface edges without reducing driving stability. Looking back in the JConcepts arsenal, a dirt tyre was released in 2011 named the 3D. The tyre was developed as half pin and half bar tire to give a lot of flexibility on different surfaces. Using this identity JConcepts adapted the Fuzz Bite “reverse water tower pins” to the 3DP with a massive increase in pin quantity for the centre portion of the tyre. For the inside and outside positions, unique bars which have been cut and sliced for increased flexibility are positioned like the original 3D dirt tyre. More pins are added in the open spaces utilising the original concept to allow slightly more space on the outside. A radial ring is added to the outside portion of the upper sidewall to provide low edges of contact patch to the racing surface. The 3DP tyres are available as unmounted, and pre-mounted options in either bright white or fluorescent yellow wheel colour combinations.

Duraes joins Hong Nor

Taiwan’s Hong Nor has announced that Portuguese international 1:8 Offroad racer Carlos Duraes will represent the brand and race their new X5B buggy. Having campaigned a Mugen Seiki previously, Duraes now has a completely new race package having joined Ielasi Tuned engines earlier this season. On joining Hong Nor, who marked the 35th anniversary of the company’s first buggy with the release of the all new X5B this Summer, Duraes said, “I’m extremely happy to join HN racing team! It’s a new challenge for me, with a completely new platform and I’m looking forward to hit the track to see what we can do together. Thanks to HN and see you on a race track”

JConcepts Overdose 1:8 Buggy Tyre

JConcepts has announced the release of its all new Overdose 1:8 Buggy Tyre. With the Florida company’s race team arriving to IFMAR World Championships in Redovan, Spain with the new layered bar tyre for extreme conditions, the tread was up to the task of resisting long runs and main events past 30 minutes of action in the heat and glued track conditions at the Barcelos Buggy Arena track. The name arrives after “over-doing it” and adding additional overlapping bars of tread to form a mat of material. The Overdose tyre is all business, made for high-competition racing, extreme conditions with a large amount of grip. The inner carcass has increased thickness, added inner ribbing instances and generally a more robust carcass to limit overheating, sag, and dimensional instability. With the Overdose in popular compounds such as blue, green, aqua, and silver, you can tune with compound by adding less rolling resistance, and an innovative layered and repeated instances of rubber surface area. The compact and nested centre section of the tire builds the design from the centre out to provide forward bite with directional resistance.

R1 Wurks CAT PB Front CF Shock Tower -2mm

Californian based R1 Wurks has released this -2mm front carbon fibre Shock Tower for the Schumacher CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy. The lowered upper shock mounting position effectively reduces front suspension up-travel, improving chassis stability and cornering performance when using smaller-diameter tires commonly run on high-grip carpet and turf tracks. Manufactured from high-quality carbon fibre and precision-machined to ensure rigidity and consistent suspension feedback. The tower is available in two premium finishes – Matte Forged, and Gloss 3K Plain Weave.
